Privacy and cookies
Short, no legal nonsense. What actually happens with your data here.
Accounts and personal data
None. The site has no login, doesn't collect emails, doesn't create profiles. You can just read it.
Functional cookies
The site uses two first-party cookies, purely technical: vibe_locale (PL/EN) and vibe_theme (light/dark). Not used for tracking, not shared.
YouTube embeds
YT videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Until you click play, YouTube **sets no cookies** and collects no data. After clicking play, YouTube/Google may set its own cookies (DoubleClick, NID, etc.) — that's standard YouTube behavior and the Google privacy policy applies. By clicking play you knowingly agree.
Ads
The site shows no ads of its own and earns nothing from traffic. YT videos display YouTube ads like on youtube.com — revenue goes to the creator and Google. We get nothing, you lose nothing.
Vercel Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics — anonymous, aggregated traffic stats (page views, sources, countries). No tracking cookies, no fingerprinting. GDPR-compliant without consent requirement (per Vercel docs).
AI summaries and attribution
News summaries (up to ~1000 chars) are auto-generated by Gemini from publicly available sources. Every news item links to the original — full attribution to publishers. If you're an author and want a summary removed, open an issue on GitHub.
Hosting and data transfer
Site hosted on Vercel (US), database on Supabase (Frankfurt, EU). Your IP address may be visible to Vercel during page load — standard for any HTTP server.
Open source
Side project, MIT license. No business model, no data sales — because there's no data to sell.
